TAMPA, Fla. In its five seasons, Major League Soccer never had agame like the Fire's 3-3 draw Saturday with the Tampa Bay Mutiny.
Lightning and storm clouds were prevalent from the 25-minute markon. Referee Kevin Terry ordered a 50-minute delay after 30 minutes, and the traditional 15-minute halftime break was extended to 55. Rainwas occasionally heavy, too.
Only one MLS game was more seriously affected by the weather. TheKansas City Wizards and Dallas Burn didn't play two seasons agobecause of inclement weather, and the game was rescheduled.
