Jdo: Japanese rewrite Olympic judo history

Japan's TADAHIRO NOMURA and RYOKO TANI have both created Olympic history on the opening
day of judo competition.

NOMURA ensured his place in sporting record books by becoming the first triple Olympic
champion in judo.

The gold medallist from Atlanta and Sydney defeated Georgia's NESTOR KHERGIANI by penalty
scores in the final of the men's under 60kg division.

TANI won her second Olympic title -- the first woman to achieve the feat.

The diminutive fighter, dubbed the "Pocket Rocket", beat France's FREDERIQUE JOSSINET
in the under 48kg competition.
